Cause of Death: Automobile accident
Description of Incident:
Officer Lambert was killed when her patrol car collided with another patrol car as both units responded to an emergency call at 0130 hours. The accident occurred at the intersection of Second Street and Ohio Avenue. Officer Lambert was ejected from her patrol car and sustained fatal injuries.

Description of Incident:
Officer Fisher was killed when he exchanged gun fire with George Keezee in the Spider Web restaurant at approximately 2215 hours. Details of the event are listed here and here in copies from the old "Wellston Telegram".
Peace Officer Memorial
Located on the grounds of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) in London, OH, the Ohio Fallen Officers' Memorial contains two circular walls inscribed with the names of Ohio's fallen officers.
A flame in the center of the memorial serves as an eternal symbol of the dedication to service and the ultimate price paid by these officers.
A third circular sitting wall allows visitors the opportunity to reflect on what it means for a peace officer to abide by the oath to serve and protect.
